The 11th International Symposium on Water-Rock Interaction was held in Saratoga Springs, New York, USA from June 27 to July 2, 2004. The Symposium addressed all aspects ofWater-Rock Interaction including recent advances in biogeochemistry, weathering system science, crustal fluids, geochemical modelling, radioactive nuclide chemistry, magmatic processes and degassing, environmental geochemistry, geochemical spectroscopies and microscopies, and isotope geochemistry.
