Prehistoric birds are often overshadowed in the public consciousness by their larger dinosaurian relatives; Triceratops, Tyrannosaurus, and decidedly non-bird-like (fictional) portrayals of “raptors” dominate the prehistoric landscape in popular culture from film to TV to video games.
